In your new role, you will:

• Act as a technical lead for a team of Firmware verification Engineers responsible for firmware verification on automotive microcontrollers which includes providing technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the team, communicating effectively to resolve technical issues independently, planning the work and deliverables according to the project timelines and milestones, representing the verification team in project meetings.
• Establishing and maintaining a verification environment that suits the requirements for embedded FW verification (incl. debugging, dedicated verification of specific features, and automated regression runs)
• Architectural and platform decision-making in close collaboration with SoC- and Firmware-architects to optimize HW-SW split for verification.
• Understand requirements, support the definition and review of the verification plan, set up verification metrics, develop test cases, and ensure report compliance
• Actively cooperate with Designers, Concept Engineers, hardware developers, and verification engineers to ensure product delivery
• Proactively drive methodology improvements to cover verification and debugging aspects
  
  

As a Senior Staff Engineer Firmware Verification, you clarify areas of responsibility, coordinate your work with colleagues, and regularly share your insights with them. Furthermore, you see and understand the root causes of potential delays or quality defects and develop suitable solutions for them. Lastly, you inspire others with your ideas and explain even complex issues clearly and convincingly.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or a similar field of studies with specific knowledge in semiconductor development
• 5+ years of working experience in HW-SW Co-Verification
• Solid knowledge of the best available verification methods
• Proficient in Embedded C and Python
• Working knowledge of at least one major HDL (VHDL, Verilog, etc.) and HVL (Specman e, SystemVerilog, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with simulation and regression tools e.g. Cadence xCelium, Cadence VManager, or similar
• Knowledge of automotive standards and processes such as ISO26262, ISO21434, and ASPICE is beneficial
