We’re looking for a Data Protection Specialist (m/f/d) to ensure GDPR compliance across our organization. In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for data privacy topics, support audits and training, maintain documentation, and work closely with teams to implement privacy principles.

The Role
We’re looking for a Data Protection Specialist (m/f/d) to ensure GDPR compliance across our organization. In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for data privacy topics, support audits and training, maintain documentation, and work closely with teams to implement privacy principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection laws.
- Act as the primary contact for employees, customers, partners, and authorities regarding data privacy matters.
- Review and negotiate data processing agreements with prospects, customers, and vendors.
- Draft and maintain key documentation such as records of processing activities and privacy policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., I&D, Cloud Experts) to embed data protection in workflows.
- Support internal audits, assessments, and documentation efforts.
- Conduct training sessions to raise data protection awareness.
- Analyze data protection incidents and help implement preventative measures.
- Solid understanding of the GDPR and hands-on experience with compliance practices.
- Degree in Business, Law, Computer Science, or a related field – career changers with relevant experience (e.g., IT, compliance, consulting) are welcome.
- Certification in data protection (e.g., CIPP/E, EU-DSGVO) is a plus.
- Technical affinity, ideally with experience in SaaS or IaaS environments.
- Strong interest in data privacy, with a willingness to learn both legal and technical concepts.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with an ability to grasp complex processes.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English.
- Confident using tools like Microsoft Office, Jira, and Confluence – and open to learning new ones.
