About The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for mainly German domestic and international (EMEA) client servicing, especially timely and accurate request and inquiry handling, issuance of bonds (Bürgschaften) and guarantees.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture German bonds (Bürgschaften) and guarantees in systems, including checking and issuing such documents and processing any amendments. If applicable, prepare documents for issuance and seek for customers approval
• Analyze and work with detailed source documents such as issuance requests, facility agreements, guarantee wordings
• Analyze and identify any premium and fee discrepancies decide on appropriate next
• Compile, sort, review and verify data accuracy using source documents, detect errors, and initiate correction while following-up with customer or process owner regarding anyinconsistencies found

Our team is spread across many locations in Europe, Asia Pacific, as well as North and Latin America.

About You

• At least 5 years of experience in surety area, banking, or financial services.
• Degree in banking, finance, or a related field.
• Excellent experience in processing and issuing bonds (Bürgschaften)
• Basic knowledge and understanding of trade finance and guarantee business.
• Basic knowledge on sanctions and AML procedures, commercial and company law
• Demonstrates good skills and experience with Microsoft Office. Basic Internet knowledge a must. SWIFT messages for documentary business is a plus
• Demonstrates competency in administrative and clerical procedures including handling files and records, and processes for providing excellent customer service
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while establishing priorities; ability to handle several tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Full proficiency in German and English language, reading, written and verbal
  
  

Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, seminars, and programs to learn about new processes and guidelines, learn new skills, and stay updated with the team supported.

Role

For Germany, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 64,000 and EUR 106,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
