Job Mission
As Tax Manager – E‑Mobility & Connectivity Solutions, you will ensure full tax compliance across European jurisdictions and drive the optimization of our tax structure to support the sustainable growth of Kia’s E‑Mobility & Connectivity Solutions business. You will actively manage tax matters related to E-Mobility and digital services, advise management on tax implications, and implement efficient processes to mitigate risks. By establishing robust tax procedures, your expertise will help navigate regulatory changes and strengthen our position as a trusted provider of digital services in Europe.

Job Mission
As Tax Manager – E‑Mobility & Connectivity Solutions, you will ensure full tax compliance across European jurisdictions and drive the optimization of our tax structure to support the sustainable growth of Kia’s E‑Mobility & Connectivity Solutions business. You will actively manage tax matters related to E-Mobility and digital services, advise management on tax implications, and implement efficient processes to mitigate risks. By establishing robust tax procedures, your expertise will help navigate regulatory changes and strengthen our position as a trusted provider of digital services in Europe.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with national and international tax regulations, with a focus on EU jurisdictions.
- Oversee and Manage VAT registrations, filings, and returns across multiple European countries.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on existing operations.
- Lead internal tax audits and provide support during external audits as required.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and operational teams to support informed strategic decision-making.
- Manage VAT compliance for cross-border digital services, including registration, filing, and reporting under OSS (One-Stop Shop) and non-Union OSS schemes.
- Prepare German VAT returns and ZM (Zusammenfassende Meldung) reports.
- Monitor and advise on country-specific digital services taxes (DSTs) and other regulatory requirements affecting digital platforms and products.
- Ensure accurate application of place-of-supply rules for electronically supplied services to B2B and B2C customers across Europe.
- Implement and maintain systems for tracking and recording VAT obligations based on customer location and service classification.
- Work closely with product, technology, and finance teams to embed tax compliance within e-commerce and billing platforms.
- Prepare and review tax disclosures for financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
- Stay informed on EU initiatives, such as the VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) proposals and their implications for online platforms.
- Develop and maintain internal tax policies, controls, and documentation aligned with best practices and audit standards.
- Advise on the tax implications of new products, services, and business models.
- Oversee transfer pricing documentation and manage intercompany transactions in line with applicable regulations.
- Identify tax optimization opportunities and lead initiatives to enhance overall tax efficiency.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure tax compliance across all business areas.
- Represent the company in tax-related audits, discussions, and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Deliver internal tax training and regular updates to key teams, particularly finance and operations.
- Coordinate with external consultants and legal advisors on complex or evolving tax matters.
- Support cash flow planning by managing the timing of tax payments and refunds across jurisdictions.
- Contribute to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, particularly in areas related to tax transparency and governance.
Your talents:
- Degree in Taxation, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Certified Tax Advisor (Steuerberater/in) or equivalent qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a European tax environment.
- Strong knowledge of EU Value Added Tax (VAT) regulations and international tax principles.
- Experience with tax compliance for E-Mobility and digital services and cross-border transactions.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with tax software and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., DATEV, SAP).
- Ability to interpret and apply complex legal and tax information.
- Organizational and project management skills.
- Fluent in German and English (written & spoken)
- Hands-on mentality and ability to work independently in a fast-paced digital environment.
