Title And Summary

Associate Managing Consultant, Strategy & Transformation (Fluent in German) Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.

About The Role

Client Impact

• Lead and manage project workstreams across a range of industries and problem statements, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Drive the development and execution of strategies and programs for regional and global clients by leveraging data and technology solutions to unlock client value.
• Collaborate with Mastercard teams to understand clients’ needs, agendas, and risks, and translate them into actionable project plans.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with client analysts and managers, acting as a trusted and reliable partner throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  

Team Collaboration & Culture

• Partner with senior project delivery consultants to identify key findings, prepare effective presentations, and deliver strategic recommendations to clients.
• Independently identify issues within defined areas of analysis, structure and synthesize findings, and manage resolution paths.
• Take ownership of internal and client meetings, contributing to and often leading project management activities including planning, coordination, and execution.

All About You

Basic qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with 2–4 years of full-time experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence, business line management, or product management.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects or workstreams, including stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination.
• Relevant client or internal stakeholder management experience.
• Logical, structured thinking and strong analytical skills with an affinity for numerical analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across multiple clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Fluent in both English and German.
• Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, and ability to obtain travel visas as required.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to identify problems, brainstorm and analyze solutions, and implement the best course of action.
• Experience managing tasks or workstreams in a collaborative team environment, including coordination with third parties.
• Relevant industry expertise is a plus.
