About the Role

Webmentix GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP Basis & Migration Specialist to architect, execute, and manage complex SAP OS/DB migrations and cloud integration projects. In this role, you will be pivotal in modernizing infrastructure, driving seamless transitions to major hyperscalers, and supporting mission-critical enterprise environments. Multiple positions are available for professionals who thrive in high-stakes, fast-paced technical landscapes.

As an L3-level specialist, you will take ownership of the end-to-end migration lifecycle, optimize SAP infrastructure, collaborate with cross-functional global teams, and ensure minimal downtime during critical cutover windows.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP Migration & Execution: Lead and execute end-to-end SAP OS/DB migrations, system copies, and landscape transformations with a heavy focus on cloud integration.
• Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture: Design and deploy SAP solutions across premier Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, and GCP), ensuring high availability, scalability, and strict security compliance.
• SAP Basis Administration: Provide advanced technical support, maintenance, and performance tuning for complex SAP landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, etc.).
• Cutover & Weekend Support: Plan, coordinate, and execute critical system cutovers, including mandatory weekend support to ensure seamless go-lives with minimal business disruption.
• SAP RISE & Enterprise Cloud: Leverage enterprise cloud services and SAP RISE frameworks to accelerate cloud adoption and optimize deployment strategies.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, database, and application-level bottlenecks during and post-migration.
• Collaboration & Vendor Management: Work closely with development teams, infrastructure partners, and offshore vendors in large corporate settings to align project delivery.

Required Skills and Experience

Primary Skills:

• Hands-on Migration Expertise: Minimum 2+ years of direct, proven experience handling complex SAP Migration projects.
• Core SAP Basis Foundation: Strong SAP Basis and infrastructure background with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of production support experience.
• Hyperscaler Proficiency: Deep technical knowledge of cloud integration and architecture on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Top-notch diagnostic and performance-tuning skills across SAP application layers and underlying databases.

Secondary Skills:

• Prior hands-on experience with SAP RISE migrations and enterprise cloud services.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities for environment provisioning and deployment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across distributed global teams.
• Robust understanding of ITIL-based Change and Release Management processes.

Experience & Qualification Requirements

• Total Experience: 6–8+ years in SAP Basis/Infrastructure, with a distinct emphasis on cloud migrations.
• Availability: Must be flexible and willing to work flexible hours, including mandatory weekend support for cutover windows.
• Corporate Exposure: Demonstrated experience navigating large corporate environments and collaborating effectively with offshore vendors.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Mandatory).
• Certifications: Professional certification in SAP Migration (e.g., OS/DB Migration) or relevant Associate/Professional level Hyperscaler certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) is highly advantageous.

Eligibility & Work Model

Hybrid Structure: 2–3 days onsite in Frankfurt, Germany.

Work Authorization: Candidates must possess valid, unrestricted legal right to work in Germany (Webmentix cannot sponsor visas for this role at this time).
