Lead Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Projects

An excellent opportunity for an experienced and driven Lead Electrical Engineer to join an international consultancy, based in their Frankfurt office.

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Salary: €80,000 - €100,000 basic + package

Job Description:

The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a well-established international consultancy that is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to strengthen its Data Centre design capability. This role is ideally suited to an electrical engineer with strong experience in mission-critical environments such as Data Centres or similarly complex facilities (e.g. pharmaceutical projects). You will play a key role in delivering technically robust electrical designs while providing leadership and direction within project teams.

Day-to-Day Duties:

• Take technical ownership of electrical design delivery for large-scale Data Centre projects from concept through to construction.
• Lead, coordinate, and mentor electrical design teams, ensuring high-quality outputs that meet programme, budget, and client requirements.
• Act as the primary electrical technical interface for clients, multidisciplinary consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and review electrical design solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, local regulations, and client specifications.
• Review and approve electrical design documentation, calculations, and specifications, ensuring accuracy, resilience, and constructability.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to deliver fully coordinated designs.
• Support project managers with technical input on programme, risk management, value engineering, and cost optimisation.
• Contribute to business development activities by providing electrical expertise for bids, proposals, and client presentations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Electrical Engineer on Data Centre projects, ideally within a design consultancy environment.
• Strong technical background in electrical building services or power engineering, with hands-on design experience.
• Experience leading electrical teams and coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams on complex projects.
• Excellent command of English and ideally German (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with international standards, client requirements, and construction practices relevant to mission-critical facilities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
