Mechanical Fitter - #2626850

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Mechanical Fitter to join a data centre construction project in Frankfurt. This is a 6-month contract role requiring mobilization from end of June.

Role Overview You will be responsible for the mechanical installation and fit-out works on a live data centre construction site in Frankfurt, working as part of a specialist mechanical team during a critical phase of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of mechanical plant and equipment including cooling systems, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and associated pipework
• Fabrication and installation of pipework systems including copper, carbon steel and stainless steel
• Assembly and installation of support structures, brackets and equipment frames
• Pressure testing and commissioning support for mechanical systems
• Reading and working from technical drawings, schematics and installation specifications
• Adherence to German site safety standards and client HSEQ requirements
• Completion of relevant installation documentation and quality records

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' mechanical fitting experience on data centre construction projects
• Demonstrable experience with HVAC, cooling or pipework installation in a critical environment
• Relevant mechanical trade qualification or apprenticeship (or equivalent recognised certification)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with German or European site safety and quality standards advantageous
• EU citizenship and valid EU passport — mandatory
• Ability to mobilise Frankfurt end of June 2025
