We are seeking an experienced Freelance Rigger to join a data centre construction project in Frankfurt. This is a 6-month contract role requiring immediate mobilisation from end of June.

Role Overview You will be responsible for all rigging activities on a live data centre construction site in Frankfurt, working as part of a specialist installation team during a critical phase of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Rigging, lifting and positioning of heavy mechanical and electrical equipment including UPS units, generators, cooling systems and busbar assemblies
• Interpretation and execution of lift plans in compliance with site-specific requirements
• Safe operation and inspection of rigging equipment including slings, shackles, spreader beams and below-the-hook devices
• Coordination with crane operators and appointed persons to ensure safe lifts
• Adherence to German site safety standards and client HSEQ requirements
• Completion of pre-use equipment inspections and relevant documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' rigging experience on data centre construction projects
• Demonstrable knowledge of lift planning and load calculations
• Relevant rigging/slinging certification (LEEA, IPAF, or equivalent recognised qualification)
• Familiarity with German or European site safety standards advantageous
• EU citizenship and valid EU passport — mandatory
• Ability to mobilise Frankfurt end of June 2025
