The Opportunity:

The firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join its investment team in Frankfurt. The successful candidate will play an integral role throughout the investment lifecycle, including deal execution, financial analysis, due diligence, portfolio management, and exit processes.

This position offers the opportunity to work on complex transactions across a variety of sectors while developing strong technical, commercial, and investment judgment within a dynamic private equity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate new investment opportunities and conduct industry research
• Build and maintain complex financial models, including LBO, valuation, and operating models
• Perform detailed company and market analysis
• Coordinate and participate in due diligence processes alongside advisors and management teams
• Prepare investment committee materials and transaction documentation
• Support negotiations and execution of acquisitions, refinancing, and exits
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams on strategic and operational initiatives
• Monitor portfolio company performance and assist with value creation projects
• Present findings and recommendations to senior investment professionals

Candidate Requirements:

• 2–4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Transaction Services, or a related financial advisory role
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities
• Experience working on M&A transactions and due diligence processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong academic background from a leading university
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent English required; German language skills highly preferred
• Demonstrated interest in investing and private equity
