Position Overview:
As a Finance Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the financial operations and management of our European subsidiaries (Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, and Spain). You will need to ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial data, provide strong support for business decision-making through effective financial analysis, risk control, and process optimisation, safeguard company assets, and drive the subsidiary towards its business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Business Partnering & Financial Analysis
- Prepare subsidiary monthly financial reports and analyze key metrics for performance evaluation and decision-making.
- Provide financial support to sales teams, including pricing and feasibility analysis.
- Identify the business risk by using financial analysis, help sales team to lower the risk to the reasonable level;
- Continuously identify and drive process improvements within finance and cross-functionally.
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control
- Manage the full AR cycle, including invoice issuance, tracking, posting, and customer portal maintenance.
- Monitor aging reports, conduct overdue investigations and collections, and handle invoice disputes.
- Perform credit assessment, set and adjust credit limits, and manage credit risk.
- Oversee daily bookkeeping, including recording customer payments and bank reconciliation.
Accounting and Asset management
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly and year-end closing procedures.
- Participate in cost control initiatives, including standard cost setting in SAP, and expense allocation.
- Summarising Recharge costs, fixed cost, adjusting expense ratios and improving transfer pricing calculation
- Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including master data maintenance, capital expenditure requests, annual stocktaking, and reporting.
- Overseeing local warehouse inventory, conduct periodic stocktaking, investigate discrepancies and prepare inventory management reports.
Tax & Compliance
- Ensure tax compliance, review tax clauses on invoices, and verify import/export declarations.
- Handle special tax matters (e.g., EU VAT deferment) and mitigate tax risks.
- Develop and maintain local finance policies (e.g., Travel, Fixed Assets, Credit Control).
Finance Policy
- Set up, maintain or optimize the local finance policies to make sure it is in compliance with local finance regulations;
- Review and monitor the implementation of the finance policies;
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or a related majors.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably with exposure to international or overseas markets.
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Chinese is highly desirable.
- Possession of a CPA, CFA, or other relevant financial certification is preferred.
- Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
