We are looking for an experienced Crypto Key Protect (L2) to join our team onsite in Germany. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in cryptography, key management, and enterprise security solutions, combined with hands-on architectural and support experience.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting advanced cryptographic key protection solutions. You will act as a technical leader and subject matter expert, providing Level 2 (L2) support while ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-grade Crypto Key Protect solutions, including HSMs and key management systems
• Provide Level 2 support for cryptographic environments, troubleshooting complex issues and coordinating with L3/vendors
• Perform onsite implementation, system integration, and configuration aligned with security policies
• Collaborate with architects, application teams, and infrastructure stakeholders
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation and operational procedures
• Support audits, compliance assessments, and risk analysis
• Conduct technical workshops, knowledge transfer, and client training sessions
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of key management services
• Stay updated with evolving cryptographic trends and best practices

Required Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in IT security with focus on cryptography, key management, or HSMs
• Strong experience in designing and supporting Crypto Key Protect solutions
• In-depth knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, PKI, key lifecycle management
• Familiarity with standards such as FIPS 140-2/3, GDPR, eIDAS
• Hands-on experience with HSM platforms (Thales, Entrust, IBM, Utimaco)
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English; German proficiency is highly desirable

Good to Have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or HSM vendor certifications
• Experience in regulated industries (banking, healthcare, government)
• Exposure to cloud key management solutions (Azure Key Vault, AWS KMS, GCP KMS)
• Experience working in global or multi-cultural environments
