About the Team

The German CIB Finance & Reporting Department is responsible for Accounting, Controlling, Regulatory Reporting and Tax Compliance for BBVA’s German Branch. Working closely with teams across Germany and Spain, the department supports financial reporting, regulatory compliance and continuous process improvement in a dynamic international environment.


About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organized Administrative Associate to support the day-to-day activities of the Finance & Reporting team. This role offers broad exposure to finance, accounting, reporting and operational processes, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build experience within an international banking environment.

This position is initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent position thereafter.


What You Will Do

  • Prepare, organize and maintain finance, accounting and regulatory reporting documentation.
  • Support reporting processes and ensure records are accurate, complete and up to date.
  • Manage employee expense processes through SAP Concur, including reviews, compliance checks and coordination with employees and managers.
  • Support daily accounting and administrative finance activities, including invoice handling and reconciliations.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Finance & Reporting team.
  • Coordinate documentation, approvals and internal follow-ups across different stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support the team in maintaining efficient workflows.


What We Are Looking For


Minimum Requirements

  • Completed vocational training or a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Office Management or a related field.
  • Initial experience in an administrative, finance, accounting or operational support role.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.


Nice to Have

  • Experience within a financial institution, banking environment or multinational company.
  • Experience with SAP Concur or other expense management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, finance or reporting processes.
  • Spanish language skills.
