About the Role

Are you a Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in Consumer Finance, Credit & Lending, and banking transformation? Do you enjoy translating complex business needs into scalable solutions and working at the intersection of business, technology, and modernization? At HCLTech, we are looking for a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a major Consumer Finance transformation initiative. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full lending lifecycle, support credit decisioning and AI-enabled use cases, and help drive the evolution from legacy mainframe environments to modern banking platforms.

Responsibilities

• Drive business analysis across the end-to-end Consumer Lending lifecycle
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
• Support lending processes including Advisory, Initiation, Credit Decisioning, and post-decision / prolongation
• Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and architects to support solution design
• Lead workshops, walkthroughs, and requirement validation sessions
• Analyze legacy mainframe lending systems to support impact analysis and future-state design
• Perform source-to-target data mapping from legacy structures to modern target platforms
• Extract and document business logic from COBOL-based applications
• Support transformation initiatives involving AI-enabled credit decisioning and document processing
• Ensure traceability from business requirements through to implementation

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Business Analyst / Business Functional Analyst in banking or financial services

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Consumer Finance / Lending
• Proven experience across the end-to-end lending lifecycle
• Strong background in requirements engineering, functional analysis, and stakeholder engagement
• Experience working with legacy mainframe-based lending systems
• Ability to read and interpret COBOL programs and understand embedded business logic
• Strong experience in source-to-target data mapping
• Good knowledge of SQL for analysis and validation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across business and IT teams
• German language skills: C1 or higher

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Thought Machine Vault or other modern core banking platforms
• Knowledge of JCL, VSAM, DB2
• Exposure to AI-enabled banking solutions
• Experience in mainframe modernization or large banking transformation programs
