We are currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a major General Contractor delivering a large-scale hyperscale data centre project in Frankfurt.

This is a long-term contract opportunity offering a competitive day rate, flights, accommodation, and the chance to work on one of Europe's most significant mission-critical developments.

The Role

As part of the commissioning team, you will be responsible for the testing, commissioning, and handover of critical electrical systems, ensuring all installations meet project specifications and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage electrical commissioning activities across the project.
• Execute and oversee commissioning of:
• MV & LV systems
• Switchgear
• Transformers
• UPS systems
• Standby generators
• Protection and control systems
• BMS/EPMS interfaces
• Review commissioning procedures, method statements, and test documentation.
• Support integrated systems testing (IST) and client witness testing.
• Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and client representatives.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with project schedules and safety requirements.
• Assist with final handover and close-out documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience commissioning electrical systems on large-scale projects.
• Previous data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission-critical project experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of power distribution and critical infrastructure systems.
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced project environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
