Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer with strong development experience in Appian or other modern technologies, who is eager to learn and build expertise in the Appian BPM platform. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in software development, system integration, and problem-solving, with an interest in working on enterprise workflow and business process automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Appian (preferred) or other relevant technologies.
• Quickly learn and adapt to the Appian platform and contribute to BPM-based solution development.
• Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, handling data formats such as JSON and XML.
• Work on end-to-end application development, including:
• Web and mobile applications
• Portal and interface-based systems
• Participate in system integration and ensure seamless communication across platforms.
• Monitor applications to ensure performance, availability, and reliability, with proper reporting and tracking of metrics.
• Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Follow Agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, development, and delivery cycles.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in design, development, and architecture standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong software development experience in any of the following:
• Appian (preferred)
• Or other technologies such as Java, BPM tools, Low-code platforms, or Web technologies
• Understanding of:
• API integrations (REST/SOAP)
• HTML, XML, JSON
• Database concepts, data modelling, and SQL
• Exposure to system design, application architecture, and integration concepts
• Experience or familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability and willingness to learn and upskill in Appian

Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with:
• Appian (Sites, Records, BPMN, UX design)
• Authentication frameworks such as SAML or OAuth
• Experience with monitoring tools, reporting, and performance tracking
• Familiarity with tools like Confluence, Rally, or similar
• Certifications in BPM or development platforms (e.g., Pega CSA/CSSA or similar)
• German language proficiency (B2 level) is an added advantage
