Description
The successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers (DC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud regions. Our technicians are operating and maintaining AWS DCs’ world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure. In addition to technical operations and maintenance, the successful candidate will oversee facility operations and ensure the implementation of safety procedures.
The role requires a motivated, self-managed person who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to problems while striving for operational excellence. The work follows a process-oriented approach: the candidate needs a strong willingness to learn new processes and adapt to rapidly changing operational scenarios with conflicting priorities.
The successful candidate will be part of the Engineering and Facilities team and will be responsible for; maintaining availability for customers; ensuring maintenance and operation of technical infrastructure; and the upkeep and operation of the DC facility.

- SAFETY
- ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANC
- Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
- Supervise contractor or Engineering Operations Technicians to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
- Driving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics.
- Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and assist in

- Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
