For our Section DBAG Commodities IT XBID & Engineering, we are looking for a dedicated DevOps Engineer to contribute development and operations of critical infrastructure for 24/7 services.

Your responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available cloud-native environments based on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and OpenShift (OCP)
• Drive infrastructure automation and application delivery using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD
• Build and enhance system observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog to ensure high reliability and operational performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents across the entire platform stack, continuously enhancing platform reliability, scalability, and performance through SRE practices and proactive automation
• Design and implement secure, automated deployment and release pipelines for OpenShift environments, embedding platform security standards, access controls, and configuration compliance
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support business-critical systems and services
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing materials
  
  
  

Your profile

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable qualifications
• Solid hands-on experience in public cloud environments (preferably GCP) and container platforms, with deep knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Practical experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), container orchestration using Helm, and continuous delivery pipelines (Git, GitHub/GitHub Actions, Jenkins) across the full software lifecycle
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including cloud networking and Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
• In-depth Linux administration and troubleshooting experience (ideally RHEL/CentOS) including shell scripting, paired with a solid grasp of enterprise networking, cloud/software-defined networks (SDN), and core protocols (DNS, SSH, TLS/HTTPS)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, collaborative approach and fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Nice to have: Prior experience with operating Java-based services in containerized environments, practical exposure to Agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with financial market infrastructure, trading platforms, or energy markets
