The project: Senior planning manager to work across a vast network of clients in the pharmaceutical space in Germany. This roles requires level C1 in German languages skills.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Managing the development, management and maintenance of detailed integrated project programmes using Primavera P6, ensuring schedules are robust, realistic and aligned with project objectives.
• Owning the end-to-end planning process, including baseline development, schedule updates, critical path analysis, progress measurement, forecasting and programme reporting.
• Developing and maintaining Level 3 and Level 4 schedules, incorporating contractor and subcontractor programmes into the master programme.
• Undertaking critical path and schedule variance analysis, identifying potential delays, constraints and emerging risks, and recommending appropriate mitigation and recovery measures.
• Reviewing and challenging contractor programmes, including logic, sequencing, durations, milestones, productivity assumptions and programme interfaces.
• Ensuring programmes are appropriately cost and resource loaded to support accurate progress measurement, forecasting and reporting.
• Monitoring actual progress against the approved baseline programme and providing clear analysis of schedule performance, trends and forecast completion dates.
  
  

You’ll Need To Have

• Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6, with demonstrable experience developing, maintaining and analysing complex project schedules.
• German language proficiency at C1 level or above
• Extensive planning and scheduling experience on complex pharmaceutical, life sciences or similarly regulated capital projects.
• Strong understanding of critical path methodology (CPM), schedule logic, baseline management, progress measurement and forecasting.
• Experience reviewing and challenging contractor schedules and integrating multiple workstreams into a master programme.
• Experience of cost/resource-loaded programmes, schedule risk and change control.
• Strong understanding of interfaces between planning, cost, risk, change and project controls.
