As a Business Process Specialist - Tax Technology, you will work closely with your colleagues from the Tax Technology team and the Tax Compliance functions to support the design of new and the enhancement of existing tax-related processes within our SAP S/4HANA environment and associated tax solutions. The position is embedded within Group Tax and serves as an important interface between Tax, Finance, Business, and IT.

While technical implementation, system development, and SAP customizing are performed by the responsible IT teams, you will contribute to the definition of business requirements, the design of tax-related process-solutions, testing activities, and the validation of implemented changes from a tax and business perspective. You will support the ongoing digitalization and automation of tax processes across the Group and gain broad exposure to indirect tax, SAP, and tax technology topics in an international environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your expertise at the interface of taxation, business processes, and the latest SAP technology while working alongside experienced colleagues across Tax, Finance, and IT.

Your responsibilities:

  • As a member of our Tax Technology team, act as tax business representative for SAP and tax technology-related initiatives within Deutsche Börse Group.
  • Support the definition and documentation of business requirements for tax-relevant SAP processes and tax technology solutions.
  • Support the design of tax process requirements and coordinate their implementation together with Tax, IT, and external service providers.
  • Contribute to the review and validation of technical solution designs from a tax and business process perspective.
  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and document user acceptance testing (UAT), integration testing, and validation of tax-related system changes.
  • Ensure that SAP-based processes support indirect tax compliance requirements and internal control standards.
  • Provide functional support and issue analysis for tax-related SAP processes and coordinate resolution with IT teams.
  • Support the automation and digitalization of tax-relevant processes, including SAP S/4HANA, tax engines, reporting solutions, and VAT allocation processes.
  • Analyze and optimize tax-relevant data flows and interfaces between SAP and connected systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the indirect tax control framework and related business processes.
  • Support the readiness and implementation of a global e-invoicing and real-time reporting requirements

Please note: This is a business-facing tax technology role within Group Tax. The position does not include technical SAP development or SAP customizing responsibilities, which remain within the IT organization.

Your profile:

  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Law, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Tax Technology, SAP process support, accounting systems, taxation, or comparable area.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC and a good understanding of SAP-supported business processes (e.g. FI, CO, SD, MM)
  • Affinity for technology and digitalization, combined with the ability to translate business requirements into practical process solutions.
  • Experience in requirements management, process improvement, testing, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Knowledge of indirect taxes (VAT) and tax-related SAP processes is an advantage.
  • Experience with SAP tax and compliance solutions, e.g. SAP Document and Reporting compliance (DRC) is considered a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a business-oriented mindset, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Highly motivated team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across Tax, Finance, Business, and IT functions.
  • Very good proficiency in written and spoken English and German.
  • Eagerness to learn and further develop expertise in Tax Technology, SAP-supported tax processes, and indirect taxation.
