Astute's Data Centre Team has partnered with an international construction and engineering contractor specializing in large-scale, mission critical infrastructure projects to recruit a Environment, Health and Safety Director to lead it's EHS function across it's European operations.

This permanent role will involve regular travel and offers a competitive salary, plus €20k additional living allowance, accommodation and flights for candidates from overseas.

Responsibilities Of The EHS Director For Europe Role

Reporting to the Group EHS Director, you will:

• Lead the EHS function across European operations, providing strategic direction and oversight across multiple hyperscale data centre construction projects.
• Act as the primary EHS point of contact for European projects, working closely with the in-country Managing Director and Group EHS Director to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Provide leadership and management to the Regional EHS Manager and wider project-based EHS teams, ensuring consistent standards and effective communication across all sites.
• Oversee EHS performance, compliance, risk management and continuous improvement across the European project portfolio
• Support the continued growth of the European business, developing and implementing EHS strategies, systems and processes to support new projects and future expansion into additional markets.
  
  

Required Qualifications And Experience

To be considered, you must have:

• 15+ years experience in EHS leadership roles within large-scale construction and mission critical projects, ideally within Data Centres.
• Degree or equivalent in professional qualification in a relevant field.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Chartered membership with IOSH or other relevant professional body is highly desirable.
• Proven experience leading and managing regional or multi-site EHS teams.
• Strong knowledge of European EHS legislation with experience ensuring compliance across multiple projects and jurisdictions.
• MUST have EU passport or Right to Work in Germany.
  
  

Salary And Benefits

• Salary: Competitive Salary, can be discussed in a call.
• Contract: Permanent
• Working pattern: Monday - Friday (8am-6pm) OR 10-4 Rotation.
• Location: Frankfurt will be your main base.
• Benefits: €20k living allowance in addition to salary. Flights and accommodation or travel allowance.
