Interim Accountant (6–10 Month Contract)
Salary: up to 100k EUR (per year) OR between 400-500 EUR per day)
Location: Frankfurt, Germany (with occasional travel to Zurich, Switzerland)

About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading multinational organization to secure an experienced Interim Accountant for a fixed-term contract. Operating from their Frankfurt hub, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring absolute continuity and operational stability for their Swiss legal entity during an important transitional phase.
This is a highly hands-on, operationally focused role. It offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned contractor or transition specialist to step in, manage day-to-day general ledger operations, and drive a seamless handover period.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Accounting & Month-End Close: Prepare and post journal entries in alignment with company policies and compliance standards; drive month-end and period-close activities for the Swiss entity while ensuring general ledger accuracy.
- Cash Application & Accounts Receivable: Ensure incoming cash is applied accurately and promptly, support ongoing collection efforts, follow up on outstanding receivables, and resolve customer account discrepancies.
- Operational Continuity: Provide daily transactional finance support, working closely with the Business Controller and regional finance leadership to maintain seamless business operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Handover: Partner with internal finance teams across regions and participate in critical handover activities—including limited, short-term on-site availability in Zurich during the initial phase.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven Accounting Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience in senior accounting roles, ideally with a background supporting distinct legal entities within a multinational environment.
- Contract/Interim Mindset: Prior experience successfully navigating interim, contract, or corporate transition assignments is highly advantageous.
- Language Skills: Professional fluency in both English and German is required.
- Flexibility: Ability to work effectively in a corporate office environment in Frankfurt, with the willingness to travel occasionally to Zurich for handover operations.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
