Introduction to the Position
This is a hands-on Workday HCM support and optimisation role responsible for providing first and second line support for the HR system across multiple countries and business areas.
The position plays a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of a recently implemented Workday HCM environment. You will work closely with HR stakeholders, internal systems colleagues, and external support partners to resolve issues, manage tickets, and support day-to-day operations while also contributing to enhancement initiatives, testing cycles, and release management.
The role offers a strong balance between operational support and project-based optimisation work, requiring both technical system understanding and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for Workday HCM users across multiple countries and entities
- Manage and resolve support tickets in collaboration with internal teams and external AMS partners
- Support system configuration including security roles, business processes, and reporting
- Work closely with the HR Systems Analyst to ensure effective governance and tenant management
- Coordinate and support Workday release testing and validation activities
- Assist in the management of system changes, ensuring alignment with global design standards
- Ensure all changes are properly tested, documented, and approved before deployment
- Support user training and onboarding for new system functionality and deployed countries
- Liaise with third-party support providers for complex issue resolution and escalations
- Contribute to optimisation initiatives and system enhancement projects
- Challenge business requirements where needed to ensure standardisation and scalability
Desired Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday HCM in a support or analyst capacity
- Good understanding of core HR processes and Workday HCM configuration
- Experience with Workday security, business processes, reporting, and tenant management
- Ability to manage and prioritise BAU support alongside project work
- Experience working with external AMS or support partners
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Understanding of Workday release management and testing cycles
- Exposure to HR systems integrations and issue triaging (desirable)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-country environment
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
