About the Role

Our cloud infrastructure is growing — and we need someone who can own it. As our Cloud & DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) you will sit at the intersection of infrastructure engineering and cloud architecture: designing, building, and operating the Kubernetes-based platform that our applications run on, while keeping security and reliability front and center. This is not a pure operations role and suits a generalist who is comfortable in owning a broad stack. You will shape architectural decisions, drive automation initiatives, and work closely with development teams to ensure smooth, secure, and scalable deployments on Azure. Your tasks

• Operate and improve Azure end to end, including AKS, Key Vault, Defender, networking, identity, Azure PostgreSQL, governance, security, hybrid connectivity, and cost optimization.
• Run our Proxmox-based on-prem infrastructure, including VMs, Kubernetes nodes, networking, capacity planning, and PostgreSQL/Patroni with HAProxy.
• Operate Kubernetes across projects, covering upgrades, scheduling, networking, storage, maintenance, and troubleshooting from kernel to ingress.
• Manage RabbitMQ, Redis, Vault, and PostgreSQL, and work with developers on reliable delivery, architecture, operability, and cost.
• Own observability, incidents, backup and disaster recovery, security, IAM, secrets, vulnerability management, DNS, certificates, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and automation.

Your profile

• Several years of hands-on experience running production infrastructure, with strong Azure knowledge across a broad range of services.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, both managed and self-managed, plus solid Linux fundamentals.
• Comfortable working with on-premises infrastructure, including VMs, hypervisors, networking, and physical hardware.
• Experience operating stateful production services such as PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, or similar.
• Proficiency with Terraform or comparable IaC tools, CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions, and scripting in Bash and Go.
• Sound understanding of cloud and infrastructure security, experience contributing to system design, a generalist ownership mindset, and fluent English; German is a plus.
